Arkaig Community Forest exhibition

There is so much happening at Arkaig Community Forest!

The conference was pleased to welcome artists Ali Berardelli and Richard Bracken, who brought an exhibition of work created by the community and inspired by the pinewoods of Arkaig.

The Workshops

A'lorg gual - fiodha / Searching for charcoal

A collaborative art project with Ali Berardelli and Richard Bracken

The charcoal platforms of Arkaig Pine Forest leave a legacy across the hillside of Loch Arkaig.

 

They are the starting point for this project exploring themes of heritage, productivity, biodiversity, culture and language.

Community members, individuals and family groups were invited to explore these themes through different creative afternoon workshops as research and contributions to a final outcome of a limited edition publication and a 'work in progress' display at Scotland's Pinewood Conference, October 2024.
